Mangasm
Mangasm were born in the care-free years of university when four virile young men of varied past, met by chance on a night that can only be described as epic. Mangasm's rise has been a steady yet dramatic one, developing their humble skills into those on par with anything that dare challenge them. Mangasm are aiming for the top and I don?t think anyone can stop them.
Never afraid to shy away from musical boundaries, Mangasm have a chameleon-like set-piece, which aims to give their audience a musically diverse, and more importantly, thrilling live experience. Mangasm don't believe in limiting themselves to one genre or style, and as a result, they appeal to a large plethora of people. Perhaps you're fan of the controversial pop pastiches Bum Love or Danger Wank. Or the more mellow Indie anthems like Superman and A Dozen Roses. Whatever the case, Mangasm aim to please both in terms of music, and how they present it on stage.
Mangasm draw their influences from just about everywhere. Early influences during the popular Bum Love phase include a love of simplistic beats and controversial lyrics. Mangasm after a brief venture into the world of punk rock, now have a stable of soulful yet edgy Indie anthems destined to break the mainstream. Currently, Mangasm are drawing their creativity from more subtle, funky tones aimed to please and excite in equal measure. Rest assured, Mangasm will continue to evolve and take influence from any avenue that just happens to take their fancy. In the meantime, enjoy.
Mangasm are currently playing regular gigs around the Lincolnshire area to critical acclaim and are planning to expand nationally in the near future.
