Currently grinding the self title "N..tra" NAKSHATRA has many shows under belt since after the rocking evening of GIR 2006,recently with a full swing round the feb of 2006 band displayed their hardwork @ various pub rock fest as well for show cause freedom rock night @ mezz ,Headlining Chandigarh Medical college rock fest feb-2005,also featured in Great indian rock 2004 & 2005.
BAND PROFILE- Nakshatra started with Sumit, a classic rock based guitarist and aspiring sound recording eng, Steve, a funk metal bassist and Amit, an experimental drummer 3rd gen music teacher in family , making its presence felt in various college gigs. But things got serious and, after changes in the line-up, Nakshatra finally settled with, Greg on vox and Francis for his punchy and fiery guitar with arpan on bass works. The final line-up was completed on Aug. 2001. With different 'musical life' experiences, from college gigs to commercial shows to metal-head concerts, Nakshatra gives credit to bands like Iron Maiden,Tool,Dio, Megadeth, G 'n' R, Ozzy / Black Sabbath, Ugly Kid Joe, Extreme,Deep Purple,Dream Theatre,Rush, Skin, Led Zeppelin,Mr. Big & many other Rocking legends for their influences. Now with their own blend of music, Nakshatra is on its way to release its debut album, 'N..tra', with tracks like 'Quest', 'Tragedy','Break Away' recorded in their own studio, Amplify.
