karmacide has been through alot , enitially called "ugly as sin" ash, furbz and charles used to practise at a youth club playing nirvana covers and 3 of our own songs (including the origional beauty queen). Then after a gig at blackfriars (which we were not ment to be at so we only got a 2 song set) were we played the classic nirvana songs "teen spirit" and "breed" we lost touch with our sexy drummer charles (he had commitments with another band called random play) and with him went every hope of forming a another band. Ash and Furbz then went on to try other bands e.g apple shrine and desolate but they were all just a bag of wank. With them both loosing hope in music they just drank their weekends away until one faithful day as sheer luck would have it we came across charles who had left random play so they all reformed and called themselves karmacide which basically is a name we gave expressing how karma or equality is being killed and how not all wrongs are righted any more ... and were hear to basically bring grunge back as in the late 80s - early 90s grunge was the music that your biggest metal head to your hardcoreist of punks could listen to and to us it means truth. We hope you like our music and we hope you can relate to it peace and love dudes xx
Ash's vocal influences are shaun morgan, jonathon davis and kurt cobain and his influences for guitar are probably Seether, early manson back when daisy was on guitar, pearl jam, the melvins, bob dylan, bit of machine head and korn. Furbz's bass influences are The butthole surfers, smashing pumpkins, tad, some pearl jam, alice in chains, nirvana and the misfits. And Charles's drum influences are enter shikari, the vines, slipknot , nirvana, azriel, Avenged sevenfold and the ramones.
we kinda sond like a very raw sounding post grunge with hints of heavy metal and old school hard grunge. But we do have our own alternative sound so...we kinda sound like something differant
